Engineering measurement laboratory was built in 2000. It is located in the Room 303 of Tan Kah Kee five building， area of 37 m2. After years of construction and development, now we have a variety of measuring instruments, the total value of about 430 thousand yuan, 71 sets. Mainly by total station, GPS measurement system, high precision level gauge, DS3 level gauge, DJ2, DJ6 Theodolite, and various auxiliary instruments and tools, providing adequate instruments for students to complete a variety of measurement experiment, to enable students to better grasp of knowledge, to realize the combination of theory and practice.

Two existing Laboratory Assistants, including a professional teacher and a technician, mainly responsible for engineering measurement experiment teaching of Civil engineering, and engineering measurement practice, on the other hand, actively cooperate with the development of production, learning and research: positioning and setting of civil and industrial buildings, and the settlement observation, vertical deviation and construction line, building deformation observation. The main experimental items include elevation measurement, angle measurement, distance measurement, topographic mapping, etc.
